Focus of the NOA festival is on a multimedia opera from Finland, TURING MACHINE
On 4 and 5 April, the programme of NOA will be adorned by Turing Machine, a staging by guests from Finland, contemporary opera company Ooppera Skaala. This project is spectacular in many aspects. It's libretto is based on facts from the life of a scientist of exceptional talent and fate, a pioneer of computer technology, Alan Turing. The musical part is created by combining opera vocals, electronic music and "live" sampling. The scenography of the opera - a unique 3D video projection - deserves special attention. The whole of the Crucible Studio team took part in creating it. However, this opera is not the only work by this studio dedicated to Alan Turing. Those willing can also socialize with his spirit via the internet.
